Daegu Metropolitan City announced on the 3rd that five outstanding companies from the first half of 2025 under the “Glocal Startup Co-Support Program”, which is being promoted to help local startups enter the global market, have been selected as beneficiaries of the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund’s financial and non-financial package support.
This co-support program is a policy to discover promising startups and support their scale-up, following a business agreement signed between Daegu City and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund in December 2023. In the first half of this year, BPK, Sloak, AIEEV, Farmity, and PromptTown were selected as “Little Penguin” grade companies and will receive guarantee support of up to 20 billion KRW.
The selected companies are evaluated as startups with 3–7 years of history that possess both technological innovation and marketability.
AIEEV: aims to replace physical data centers with its distributed AI cloud system “Air Cloud”.
Choi Woon-baek, Director of Daegu’s Future Innovation Growth Office, said,“This project is a highly effective support model as it provides both a prompt evaluation of startups’ business feasibility and customized financial support. We will expand the scale of support and the number of participating companies through cooperation with the Credit Guarantee Fund.” Daegu City will promote the second half (4th batch) of the co-support program starting this month, and plans to accelerate the discovery of promising startups through cooperation with startup support institutions.
